To enhance its research strengths in neurodegenerative diseases, the laboratory of Dr. Cristian Lasagna-Reeves in the Stark Neurosciences Research Institute (SNRI) at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking for a member at the level of postdoctoral fellow.
The neurodegenerative research team at the SNRI that includes Dr. Lasagna-Reeves Lab (https://medicine.iu.edu/faculty/27419/lasagna-reeves-cristian) have a strong focus on the role of tau, amyloid and inflammation in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson’s disease and FTD.
Investigators are supported by strong basic, clinical and neuropathologic resources, including the IU/JAX Alzheimer’s Disease Precision Models Center that used cutting edge technology to develop, validate and disseminate new, precise animal models of AD; the Indiana Alzheimer’s Disease Center (IADC), that has one of the largest collection of banked blood and cerebrospinal fluid, a brain bank for neurodegenerative disorders and cutting-edge technology for in vivo brain imaging and genomics.
REQUIREMENTS
The candidate should have an interest in neurodegenerative diseases, protein aggregation and tau and amyloid models. He or she must possess a Ph.D. or MD degree or both, as well as documented experience and skills in neurochemistry, molecular neurobiology, behavioral studies and neuropharmacology research.
