Research Assistant Position – Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

General Purpose: Applicants will be required to generate and maintain zebrafish mutants and transgenic lines; as well as screen/genotype zebrafish using PCR. Experimental procedures using zebrafish transgenic and mutant lines, as well as gene expression analysis in specific cell types by in situ hybridization, FACS sorting, RNA sequencing, real time PCR and confocal microscopy are expected to be carried out on a regular basis. Other tasks include performing basic molecular cloning and microinjections on zebrafish zygotes, order and maintenance of supplies.

Hired help will assist in research projects and support staff members.
