Research Assistant-Pontificia Universidad Católica

General Purpose: Demonstrated experience in molecular biology; screen and genotype using conventional PCR, real time PCR, in vitro transcription, DNA and RNA preparation, competent bacterial cell preparation. Should conduct experiments using animal model (zebrafish) and analyze gene expression in specific cell types using in situ hybridization, immunofluoresce, confocal microscopy among other technics. Orders and maintains inventory of supplies. May assist research and support staff.

Requirements: 1) Bachelor’s degree in a biological related field (i.e.: Biology or Biochemistry), 2) a plus is to have previous experience with the zebrafish model, 3) verifiable experience in molecular and cell biology technics.

Enthusiastic, highly motivated, strong ethic, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Prior experience in laboratory management are preferred.
