About IMPACT Center
Catalyzing the gained knowledge into a translational pathway for life-saving therapies is the ultimate challenge of IMPACT. IMPACT’s main goal is to develop and accelerate scientific breakthroughs that impact people’s health and the quality of their lives. By implementing strategies to bypass the system-wide bottlenecks in the bench to bedside process, patients will have access to advanced therapies, avoiding the current indebtedness, or the inevitability of traveling abroad to seek healthcare. The center will make a bold strategic shift to bring life-saving innovations related to tissue engineering, cellular, immune and gene therapies as novel solution for unmet medical needs.
“IMPACT aspire to reach every patient in Chile by transforming advanced therapies from inaccessible, costly and complicated to accessible, affordable and straightforward”, Maroun Khoury, director of IMPACT
IMPACT has been established in the context of a unique collaboration of five prominent Chilean Universities with a profound commitment with science, innovation and the society: The University of the Andes, as the lead academic organization (UAndes), University of Chile (UChile), Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC), Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaiso (PUCV) and University of the Frontera (UFRO).
The interested and eligible candidates must send applications (CV, 2-3 contacts of references) via e-mail to Juan Pablo Acevedo (jpacevedo@uandes.cl).
