Job description:
The Urological Research Team of the Spinal Cord Injury and Tissue Regeneration Center Salzburg (SCI-TReCS) at the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) is offering a fully funded PhD position in neuro-urological research within the PMU PhD program (http://www.pmu.ac.at/ en/medicalsciencephd.html).
SCI-TReCS was founded in 2011 with the aim to investigate regenerative mechanisms in the field of spinal cord injury. The Urological research team focusses on functional and structural changes of the urinary bladder after a spinal cord injury and to develop therapies to treat neurogenic bladder dysfunctions.
The PMU offers a cutting-edge microscopy facility and well-equipped research laboratories. The Neuro-Urology/SCI-TReCS offers a high-end recording station for functional bladder analysis and access to an organ bath.
Demands & Tasks:
You are a cellular/molecular biologist or MD (physician scientist) with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Spinal cord injury (SCI) research, RNA/Protein analyses, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, electron microscopy, experience with pre-clinical models, and are motivated to perform highly competitive mechanistic research / in vivo models in the field of neuro-urology as part of a growing team of excellent researchers.

Remuneration:
The gross annual remuneration is based on the actual FWF recommendations for a PhD position and is listed with: EUR 29.573,60 for 30 hours/week.
