Formulation & Assembly Assistant at Kura Biotech

Hi! We’re looking for a dynamic, goal oriented and lab-lover to join an excellence team in our Production department. As a Formulation & Assembly Assistant, your main objective will be to execute the production processes effectively, maintaining the quality standards of Kura Biotech.

About Us

We are the world leading biotech company in the development of enzymes for toxicology, and we are expanding into providing enzymatic tools for proteomic and genetic applications. Since 2020 we develop COVID testing kits, becoming the first Chilean-made certified PCR and RT-LAMP testing kits for diagnosis.

The Role

• Execute procedures for the elaboration of products, raising alerts and needs of eventual problems in the productive processes.
• Follow up and notify changes regarding the documentation considered in Kura ‘s quality management system.
• Review and maintain  supply stock for the elaboration of products.
• Propose continuous improvement of processes.
• Responsible for an impeccable work area and equipment, to avoid any possible contaminations that compromises the productions and quality standards.
• Keep and maintain the documents and registries of production processes according to the quality management system.

Essential Skills

• Autonomy, attention to detail, order and accuracy, teamwork, effective communication and problem solving.
• Knowledge in good laboratory practices, bioprocesses, laboratory microbiology and chemical analytics techniques.
• General knowledge of standards and quality systems, and experience in quality certifications: ISO & GMP
• Desirable knowledge in quality control standards and documentation, management of fundamental laboratory techniques and instruments and equipment.
• Methodology and order in the execution of the established planning.
• Excel and Google Sheets
• Intermediate English level is a strong plus.

Education

• Biotechnologist, biochemist or related to biological sciences with laboratory skills.
• At least 1 year of work experience in the operations department, production,  laboratory or similar, is a plus.
