English Editor of Scientific Texts at BioPub

BioPub (www.biopub.cl) is a young and successful consultancy dedicated to training and helping researchers in Chile and Latin America write and publish scientific articles.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate that enjoys reading, correcting, and editing scientific texts (e.g. research papers, grants applications, thesis, etc.) and that shares our mission of helping Latin American scientists improve the English of their scientific texts.

We are offering a well-paid freelance position (pay-per-paper). The hired candidate will have complete control of their schedule and can work from home. Initial and constant training will be provided to ensure personal improvement and growth.

Required
– Responsible, proactive, willing to constantly improve.
– It is fundamental that the candidate have native-level fluency in English, preferably with elementary, high school, and/or college education in an English-speaking country.
– The candidate must have a degree (Associates or higher) in the life sciences, preferably the molecular sciences (e.g. cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, physiology, biomedicine, etc.).
– Must be able to emit «Boletas de Honorarios» authorized by the Chilean SII

Desirable
– Experience writing and publishing scientific articles
– Experience editing the grammar/punctuation/format of scientific articles
