We are looking for a motivated individual with laboratory technology background (or similar) to play a fundamental role in supporting our ongoing investigations. Freshly graduated students from biochemistry/biology (or related disciplines) with at least one year of laboratory experience are also encouraged to apply.
How you will make a difference: The selected candidate will work in a vibrant environment at the interface between bioengineering, biology and biomedicine. He or she will work in close contact with the principal investigator to support ongoing projects.

Where: The project will be conducted in the new laboratories of the Institute for Biological and Medica Engineering (PUC – San Joaquin campus).
Main duties: Maintain the routine cell culture of mammalian cell lines, prepare cells for students and postdocs’ experiments (including transiently transfected cells). Maintain the stock of laboratory consumables, get quotations from companies, etc. Others: propagate plasmids, western blotting, RNA isolation, etc.
Requirements: Previous experience with mammalian cell culture and cell transfection is a must. Knowledge in molecular biology and biochemistry is desirable.
Additional: Good communication skills with supervisor and other lab members. Knowledge of good laboratory practice and safety procedures. Precise, accurate and careful. Good level of English communication.
